Mr. Mottaz has been representing injured workers since 1981. His experience includes numerous cases within the Workers’ Compensation system to the Minnesota Supreme Court. Mr. Mottaz has earned a reputation for being a strong advocate for the rights of injured workers. He is an acknowledged expert in workers’ compensation law and has written and lectured extensively on the topic. He is a co-editor of the Workers’ Compensation Deskbook, a recognized authority on Minnesota workers’ compensation law. He is listed in the Best Lawyers in America (Naifen & Smith), Who’s Who in American Law (Marqueis) and Law and Leading Attorneys (American Research Corporation) and has been designated “Super Lawyer” by the Minnesota Journal of Law and Politics. Mr. Kempston has been practicing law since 1992. He worked as an insurance defense attorney for four years before coming to work with Mr. Mottaz. This background provides him with a unique perspective when pursuing the rights of injured workers. Described by his peers as aggressive yet reasonable, Mr. Kempston is a strong advocate for the injured worker. He also frequently lectures and writes on the Minnesota workers’ compensation law. He was an original co-author of a chapter appearing in the Minnesota Workers’ Compensation Deskbook and since 2000 he has been designated "Super Lawyer" by the

Jerry Sisk

Jerry Sisk

Mr. Sisk started his legal career on the defense side of workers’ compensation before switching to the petitioners’ side and representing injured workers. He has found that his prior defense experience has provided him with great insight when dealing with employers and insurers, which has assisted his clients greatly in getting the benefits they deserve. His peers have recognized him in Minnesota Law & Politics as a “Rising Star” for 2007, 2008, and 2009. This designation is given to only 2.5 percent of Minnesota attorneys each year who are 40 or under, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less.
