Kempston has been practicing law since 1992.
He worked as an insurance defense attorne

for approximately four year s
before coming to work with Mr. Mottaz in July of
1996. Since then, his practice has consisted almost
exclusively of representing individuals injured
at work. His prior practice as an insurance defense
lawyer, during which he primarily represented employers
and insurers in workers' compensation cases, provides
him with a unique perspective when pursuing the
rights of injured workers. Described by his peers
as aggressive yet reasonable, Mr. Kempston is a
strong advocate for the injured worker. During the
last few years, Mr. Kempston has both lectured and
written on the Minnesota workers' compensation law
at seminars offered to other attorneys. He was an
original co-author of a chapter appearing in the
Minnesota Workers' Compensation Deskbook.
